verse name here
Humans have been sending out missions to colonize other planets and moons for a considerable amount of time now. In the greater scope of things, though, they're not quite as ambitious as they could be. Scientists and other dreamers want to reach farther, they want to learn more, but most of all, they want to see more. The thrill of leaving Earth to get to another colony is just that: a thrill. Visiting one that has already been built up beyond its foundations has became more of a touristic concept; the real adventurers want to find raw ground and make it their own. But the more ambitious the missions, the greater the risk. To avoid tragic, failed attempts, intensive work is placed into advancing the technology of androids with full artificial intelligence. Their goal is to go beyond traveling and building the structures for future ships to simply settle into, though. They want a human element to be a part of its very beginning, without all the logistics of putting one through the journey there. They think natives are be the best way of testing and perfecting habitability, among other things. The androids are made into incubators, capable of growing human life inside them and giving birth with 100% success rate, but unable to have more than one child. The genes they carry with them are from existing people, all anonymous, from Earth. Once they build everything and have the babies, the androids are charged with simulating a family setting for the human children, being as lifelike as possible so that when the people from Earth arrive, no real differences will interfere with the adaptation process. The children know they exist because of the androids, though, and the androids know they can act as nothing more than caretakers, teachers, and servants. The structure and systems have to be carefully maintained to keep the city hospitable. Any problem that might arise within the area can easily be fixed by androids, because they aren't affected by the outside atmosphere. Unless it's all sabotaged, DUNDUN!! ok i can't write - one of the androids rebels and messes up the system really bad and all the kids die out before there's any hope of repairing it on time - android parents are pretty devastated and when news arrives to earth of what happened the mission is aborted and the androids are left on their own, bye - the rebellious faction chases out the sad boi (and girl) ones, so now it's a cat and mouse game throughout the planet, where the sad still want to fix everything and recreate the technology and means that allowed them to have the first children - the sad androids are sad because they liked being fake parents and now their fake kids are dead and they can never have fake kids again unless they succeed |

However, it's a long journey through space and on the way, a lot of protocol sharing goes on to better mimic 'humanity.'
